This sector has seen the greatest growth for the company over the past two years. This sector has witnessed the most dynamic change due to the evolving patterns of consumption of end users of decorative paint, both water based emulsion paint and solvent based gloss paint.

Progressing from conventional in-plant tinting water based pigment dispersions, the company has successfully developed universal colourants for the automatic tinting machines for point-of-sales outlets.

The company has invested heavily in setting up own in-house tinting facilities to duplicate the conditions of the point-of-sales outlets.

Natural outdoor exposure test and accelerated weathering test have been used extensively to ensure the right quality pigments are selected to give optimum performance to the colourants.

Spectrophotometers have been used to ensure colour consistency.

Precise viscometer and drying time recorder are used to further enhance quality of such colourants.

Compatibility test is checked for the colourants with the base paints from customers.

The company now produces the following series of pigment dispersions for the paint industry:

• In-plant tinting:

• Standard series for conventional water based emulsion paint. This includes pigments for interior and not-too-demanding exterior applications.
• High performance series for most-demanding exterior applications. 

 

• Universal colourants for automatic dispensing machines for point-of-sales outlets.

The company has also been attempting to reduce VOC content to meet various regulatory requirements.
